The need to replace an old school building offered the opportunity to accommodate a number of functions that would otherwise have left the small community. Tussen Ruimte performed a study on how to make this mix successful: how to combine young & senior people; residential and work; healthcare and education? Time-based design leads to surprising and efficient solutions. Tussen Ruimte created models with each their own advantages and provided a comparative matrix of qualities such as relation rentable space categories, use-value of (semi)public space, housing typology, parking, hindrance and flexibility.
