Boskoop is famous for its tree-growing. The site of 150x50m2 contains historical elements of this industry, which we used as point of departure for design. A semi-public garden with loosely distributed pavilions creates a friendly residential environment for 40-60 households in need of care. The buildings are constructed of standardised elements, allowing easy modification. Thus a variety of special needs, from nursing to meals, can be met according to the need of the tenants. The complex provides informal meeting places as well as privacy for patients.
